The power of a band is not just in the superior creation of music, nor is it in the accumulation of adulation from fans. The true power wielded by a band is the way their lyrics, music and even the way they live, makes you think and want to live. REGENERATOR is a fabulous progenitor of this idea. Begun in 1992 REGENERATOR presents the souls of poets, supreme vocal talent and a need to make the world a better place. With Wrex Mach (vocals, lyrics, programming, recording, mastering, graphics, live production, guitar, and keyboards) and Patrice Synthea (vocals, lyrics, live keys, and percussion) REGENERATOR supports the Peta movement without allowing their own personal beliefs to discolor their musical endeavors, though perhaps some of the darkness comes from a deep disgust with the treatment of animals in the world.
REGENERATOR’s performance style is makes for an energetic and magnificent show with the addition of Jeremiah Saint on keyboards and bass, Lorraine Machler on Cello, Kevin Regan on Keyboards, Krizzia on Keyboards and Bass and Anjali, Eden Saint, Chromegirl and Isis as the REGENERATOR go-go girls. Over fifteen years REGENERATOR has managed to turn out six albums, three singles and numerous compilations and guest appearances. Their most recent album, “Disease” which came as a long anticipated addition to their prolific releases, is a superb representation of their multitude of talents.
Airbourne displays Wrex Mach’s powerful voce while Patricia Synthea becomes the ethereal angel in the back ground. This song is a perfect club hit that is destined for dance floor notoriety. Death brings the darkness and depth up a notch by
amalgams discordance with perfect electronics to create another powerful club hit. Wrex’s deep growling voice brings an almost demonic level to the sins of the soul and desire. Patricia’s angelic voice echoes the opening of Apnea as the electronic beat pumps the tempo. She provides an almost dreamlike quality to the song while Wrex’s growl provides a conflicting depth. With ten more songs just as powerful, “Disease” is the perfect addition to any DJ’s collection, techno, industrial, Goth or otherwise. REGENERATION never fails to get the body moving. But remember this is definitely a band you should see perform live as their quality performance is unsurpassed. Take a listen and I guarantee you will not be disappointed.
