Without Whom, Many “Popular Artists” Would Never Be Known!

Introduction: I used to think, “What’s the big deal about being a DJ? So you have a mad collection of CDs (or vinyl at the time) and you toss them on, hang out, and then toss on another. Big deal!” But, the more involved I have gotten with the underground scene, I have realized a lot. Without DJ’s spinning at clubs, many of the well-known “icons of the underground” would never have become known! Most of the music in our genre gets little or no radio airplay. It’s the DJs spinning at clubs that allow these awesome bands to be heard and recognized!

Also, in a club setting, a good DJ can develop a mood and vibe and really make a night exciting. However, a DJ with little experience or doing it for the wrong reasons can break a mood and make for a dull night on the dance floor.

It is because of these realizations that Carpe Nocturne salutes the DJ’s of the world and the totally awesome job they are doing bringing us some of the best underground music from around the world!
